CURRICULUM VITAE

Michael Shorstein practices exclusively in the area of adoption law since 1990. He specializes in all aspects of domestic adoptions including interstate, identified and family adoptions . Mr. Shorstein is an active member of the prestigious American Academy of Adoption Attorneys and is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell. He graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Accounting and he received his law degree from Florida State University. Mr. Shorstein regularly attends adoption seminars to remain current on the many changes in adoption law and practice. He has conducted adoption seminars and presentations for numerous organizations including hospitals and agencies. He also serves as legal counsel to a Florida licensed child-placing agency. Michael Shorstein and his wife, Robin, have two children, Mathew and Benay.

Brian T. Kelly, Attorney

Brian Kelly also practices adoption law including Florida and interstate placements. A member of the Florida Bar for 22 years, he also is a member of the prestigious American Academy of Adoption Attorneys and is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell. He graduated from the University of North Florida with a degree in Education and he received his law degree from the University of Florida. Mr. Kelly regularly attends adoption seminars to remain current on the many changes in adoption law. He has vast trial experience and has successfully litigated contested adoptions exclusively representing adoptive parents. He is an avid golfer and he loves to play his guitar. Brian Kelly and his wife, Kim, have three children, Lindsey, Palmer and Peyton.

Both Michael A. Shorstein & Brian T. Kelly are active members of the prestigious American Academy of Adoption Attorneys. The AAAA is an association of attorneys, judges, and law professors in the United States and Canada who are dedicated to the highest standards of practice in the field of adoption law. Membership is by invitation only from the Board of Trustees based on criteria for excellence in the practice of adoption.
