Jacksonville attorneys Michael Shorstein and Brian Kelly have been honored with the prestigious Congressional Angels in Adoption award from the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute.
Shorstein was nominated for the award by U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla.
Kelly was nominated for the award by Congressman John Rutherford, R-Fla.
Both Shorstein and Kelly are members of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys and are considered national experts on adoption law.
The Angels in Adoption program was created in 1999 to raise awareness about the adoption process.
